RDA National Training Centre is an approved centre with ABRS, Pony Club and BHS. It has also been awarded an Acessibility Mark by RDA. It is the home to RDA National Office and staff team who work closely with the Centre to deliver RDA dedicated training, equine knowledge sharing, equine-relevant sessions, for UK-wide RDA coaches and volunteers.

Our aim is to:

  1. Learn - Learning from RDA coaches, mentors, RDA specialists, industry experts, equine professionals.
  2. Share - Sharing information with the wider RDA community and offering support to the wider network.
  3. Inspire - Encourage the RDA network to strive toward RDA's mission to enrich lifes through horses.

In 2021 The Princess Royal Coach Academy was launched which focuses on 'coaching the coach' style training through a tiered mentorship program, which aims to provide:

  1. Training to RDA Coaches to become Advanced Coaches
  2. Training to RDA Advanced Coaches to become Coaching Mentors

Further to the training that is delivered, the Centre also holds an incredible 5* Riding School Licence and offers both disabled and non-disabled riding lessons as well as being a top flight venue for hire. The Centre is home to three RDA groups who help to deliver our RDA sessions - Lowlands Farm RDA, Centre of England RDA and Lapworth RDA, who help support local disabled people to experience therapy through horses.

Sessions not run under the RDA Groups above are held by Lowlands Equestrian Centre, which operates commercially as part of Riding for the Disabled Association, with all profits from the Equestrian Centre going to support RDA.
